Pleasant stay in the mountains

Nice room with lovely views, good dinner in the restaurant and ample selection at breakfast.

The bath was super tiny, the parking for the motorbike with boxes was a little far away

The location is stunning, ample free parking, good breakfast and the room was more like a small apartment

The plumbing from the other rooms seemed to go through our room (504) and it was very noisy whenever anyone flushed a loo or had a shower

Fabulous place to meet friends snd family and enjoy good food, service and beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful location, friendly helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

The restaurant is a little canteen like for evening dining but staff reduced lighting and provided candles which made the ambiance better.

A real ‘get away from the rat race’ , beautiful.

My third stay at this hotel, absolutely love the peace and beauty, a real retreat in the most stunning setting

Hairdryer is very poor and there’s no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but honestly the only negatives

Beatiful surroundings and the hotel. Very peaceful, good food, clean rooms, cheerful personell.

Fan for hair was very old and weak, but it's no problem, as we had one with us

Excellent in every respect but the restaurant.

Superb property and location. Excellent for walking; plenty of trails from the hotel itself. Very fine building and a wonderful balcony room with great views. Unfortunately the pool was not open at the time of our visit. The terrace cafe was good, but closes at 18:00. The restaurant, less so.

The property was let down by the restaurant. Very sterile and overlit, with no atmosphere and bad piped music on a loop. The food was OK but generally uninteresting. As far as we could see, there was only one very hard-worked member of staff covering the whole large area. Also, there does not appear to be anywhere to sit for pre- or after-dinner drinks.

Our stay was sublime!

It was a very special place and we were very happy that we were able to attend Mass in the incredible sanctuary. Loved all of the walking and hiking paths. Also loved how accommodating the staff was. Sitting on our private patio was the best!

A great location for a hotel.

Good selection of food available for breakfast in the restaurant location.

The room was not very well insulated against the transmission of sound from the floor above and the late night arrival of other guests could be clearly heard.

Location, beautiful views, nice friendly staff, breakfast, nature, very comfortable beds.

No kettle in the room, no coffee or tea in the room as a welcome drink. No freezer to keep the ice just a tiny fridge.

Wonderful

The staff allowed us to park our motorbike safely within the premises. Also the swimming pool was advertised as open, but we were told at first that it was only open during the weekend. With a bit of persuasion (and showing the "pool open" ad on Booking.com) the receptionist let us use the pool. Beautiful settings but do not open your windows at night or the mosquitoes will invade your room.

Being taken for irresponsible children at first and not being allowed in the pool. We had booked this place mainly for the pool! With a bit of give and take, the situation was sorted out for the best...and we were not the only one in this situation. Does a pool in Spain have to be supervised by a life guard all the time? That would be a waste of money for this nice hotel and probably a gain of customers if the pool was open at the user's responsibility, like in other countries.

Exceptional

The location in the mountains is beautiful and, despite the heat, it is cool under the trees. The pool is nice, the church very special. The possibility to eat either in the restaurant or the bar is very comfortable. There is a very young and very friendly staff. There are nice walks in the area. I will definitely return!

A lovely place to stay at

An unexpected gem in a remote location, great for a getaway. Very helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. An old monastery turned into a hotel certainly holds its spirit. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the location and the peaceful surroundings.

nice comfortable bed and plenty of room. the breakfast was a nice variety of fresh fruit, breads and good coffee

The dinner was fairly expensive and the quality was disappointing. we would recommend the menu be smaller with only one or two dishes done well rather than many options. The staff were very helpful so that was a positive point.

A real gem set in a fabulous location. If it’s peace and tranquillity you are looking for then this is the place.

location and scenery was amazing. we are frequent visitors to Cazorla but the Sierra Espuña has it all too. The hotel and gardens are excellent. our room with a balcony was lovely. Continental breakfast was first class. staff very friendly and efficient. Menu del noche, very tasty and good value. Our waiter was helpful and very pleasant.
